mon-o-lith [mon-uh-lith]
“A large block of stone, made from a single solid piece, suggesting immovability, uniformity and massiveness”
Monoliths are the name we give to the large climbing boulders which make up the most visible part of an Adventure Playground. Like its definition, they are single, solid pieces that have a natural shape and numerous ledges, fissures and protrusions for scampering across or climbing up.
Because of their immovability and massiveness, Monoliths are used as the anchor points for rope bridges.
