NATIVE DESIGNS

Native Designs

Spread throughout North America and Canada, native tribes have a vast influence on everything from culture to design. The history of each tribe is varied and unique and here at UPC Parks we have had the honor to work with various tribes to create outdoor pieces that reflect their heritage.

A FEW OF THE TRIBES WE HAVE CREATED FOR.

Muckleshoot Tribe

As a sovereign Tribal nation led by an elected council, we actively invest in our community, sustain our environment, and contribute to the regional economy.
Our people have always depended on rivers, forests, and seas. We hunted and gathered on the land and fished the waterways. We have always seen ourselves as part of the land, not owners of it, and we treat our environment with care and respect. (www.muckleshoot.nsn.us)

Chickasaw Nation

The Chickasaw are a Native American people who were known for their skills in hunting, warfare, and trading. They were also farmers and grew crops such as corn, beans, and squash.  Today, the Chickasaw Nation is a federally recognized tribe with over 70,000 members. They have their own government, laws, and cultural traditions. The Chickasaw Nation is committed to preserving their history and culture for future generations. (www.chickasaw.net)
